Far Infrared Ray energy is a part of the natural light spectrum of sunlight without UV. It has already revolutionized well-being products in Asia , Europe and now USA and Australia.

Far Infrared Ray (FIR) is a form of light energy from the sun. It falls within the same family of Infrared Ray in the light spectrum. Due to its longer wavelengths, FIR cannot be seen by human eyes. The light energy is absolutely ESSENTIAL for human beings and all life on earth.

The sun emits FIR energy that is absorbed by human cells, causing a physical phenomenon called “resonance.” FIR rays vibrating at a frequency to that of the human body are thus able to activate cells, and reactivate as well as strengthen resulting in a better blood circulation and an overall improved micro blood circulatory systems.

The body’s ability to also emit FIR energy is the reason behind some alternative healing practices such as "laying-on of hands"and "palm healing," a practice with some 3000 years of tradition behind it in China (known as “Qi-Gong therapy"). The energy radiated by infrared [IR] rays heats objects directly, i.e. the intervening air is not heated, a process known as "conversion." The IR segment of the Sun’s electromagnetic spectrum is divided into 3 parts:

• Medium infrared wavelength: 1.5 to 5.6 microns
• Far Infra Red wavelength: 5.6 to 1000 microns

Our sun’s energy output comes mostly from the Infra Red segment of the spectrum, but it is the wavelength of between 6 and 14 microns that is of particular interest to FIR Sauna users.

The Far Infrared rays’ heat energy penetrate the body tissues to a depth of 4 to 5 cm quickly and efficiently, and instead of using energy to convert air to higher temperatures, as for example in a steam sauna, the energy is converted directly to heat the body. This is one of the reasons for reports of well being with the FIR Sauna system.

The FIR sauna operates at a significantly cooler air temperature of 55-65 °C, against the hot air sauna’s 80-110 °C.

When it is desired to enjoy only the FIR ray penetration, the front of the sauna cubicle may be left open, i.e. unzipped, for example for the purpose of a pre-activity warm-up, even when fully clothed, then minimal perspiration is likely to be experienced. A steam sauna heats the air in the chamber to a very high temperature, which in turn heats our body.

A FIR sauna works differently. Neither oxygen molecules nor nitrogen molecules in the air can block the FIR wave; thus the FIR unique wave length penetrates directly onto our body a few inches. It makes us feel very warm and we perspire, but our skin is not hurt by the hot air.

1. Plug in the power socket. No other appliances should be connected into the same socket.
   
   
2. Press the ‘Power’ button (right button) once will activate and show ‘00’ in the LED timer display window.
   
   
3. Press ‘Timer’ button (middle button) to pre-set for 10, 20 or 30 minutes. This will turn on 3 x FIR panels and heat your sauna.
   
   
4. Press ‘Foot’ button (left button) to turn on the 1 x FIR foot pad. After 10 minutes, if the foot pad is too hot, you can move your feet to the sides or press the ‘Foot’ button again to turn it off.
   
   
5. If using sauna to warm your body (for competitive athletes) closing the zipper all the way up is optional. Closing the zipper all the way up to your neck is for full sauna effect, thus heats up your body faster.
   
   
6. Cleaning: Occasionally wipe the inside down with a sponge / cloth soaked with an eco friendly detergent mixed with water. Rinse off with wet towel. Air dry after use.

If you accidentally damage a panel, simply:

• Unplug and remove the damaged panel
• Simply plug in your new panel and place in the Velcro lined 'pocket' on the sauna sauna wall
