How it Works - top

Overview:

Water Distillation effectively removes contaminants such as:

  • bacteria
  • dissolved solids
  • chemicals
  • chlorine
  • crytosporidium
  • fluoride
Distillation effectively removes contaminants such as bacteria, dissolved solids, heavy metals, chemicals (fluoride / chlorine / sewerage etc), pesticides, insecticides, crytosporidium, giardia etc.How it Works:
  1. Ordinary tap water is heated to 100° C in a stainless steel boiling chamber, killing bacteria, cysts and viruses that may be present;
  2. As the water temperature rises, low boiling light gases are discharged through the gaseous vent;
  3. Steam rises leaving behind dissolved solids, salts, and all other contaminants in the bottom of the Boiling Chamber;
  4. Steam is condensed in a stainless steel coil that is fan cooled;
  5. This high quality steam distilled water then percolates through a coconut shell carbon filter (to enhance the taste);
  6. The purified drinking water is then collected in the four litre storage bottle (included).

What is distillation?
Distillation is simply the process of heating water to its boiling point; capturing and then condensing the pure steam to form pure distilled water. In nature this process is known as the hydrologic cycle.

Consumable needs:
Pure distilled water should be used for all of your consumable needs, or anything that goes into your body. Whether you consume ice cubes, soup, coffee, tea, pasta, rice, baby formula, juices, or just drinking water, the contaminants that are in your tap water are still finding their way into your body – unless you are using pure distilled water.

How nature purifies water:
Water is essential to all life. Without it the biosphere that exists on the surface of the earth wouldn't be possible. Nicknamed the "water" planet, earth is covered by one of our most precious resources. However 97% is locked in the oceans, toxic to humans and many plants and animals. How do we obtain fresh water resources then?

Hydrologic cycleHydrologic Cycle:
To understand, we need to turn to the Hydrologic Cycle. The Hydrologic Cycle (also called the water cycle) is the process that moves water around the earth. The cycle starts with the sun heating water in our rivers, lakes and oceans and turning it into water vapour, which rises into the air (called evaporation). When water vapour cools it forms clouds (condensation), which become heavy with water and rains back to earth (precipitation).

Water is not created or destroyed:
It is this process that cleans the earth’s water. Water is not created or destroyed. Simply put, it is continually changing its form and location. The water you drink today is likely to have been lapped up by animals and people 6 thousand years ago, or helped fill Julius Caesar’s bathing pool, or could be from a tear from Jesus Christ (Aramaic = Eshoo). The water we use now is the same supply the human race started with. Its quality is renewed again and again by the natural Hydrologic Cycle that our Creator originally set in place.

Distilled water from the clouds

Pure steam water distillation produces high quality water consistently. It is the way water should be (rain water is distilled water.) Pure steamed distilled water produced by this Countertop Water Distiller is a fraction of the cost of bottled water and virtually pays for itself many times over when compared to bottled water purchases.

[Simple operational maintenance is required so the product continues to perform as advertised. A full range of spare parts and accessories are maintained.]

Sterilization Cycle & Every Day Use

Divine Ultra Countertop Water Distiller General Instructions #1: Using for the First Time - the Sterilization Cycle:

  1. You need to sterilise your water distiller before using to make pure drinking water;
  2. Firstly, remove the lift-off Top, which provides easy access into the stainless steel boiling chamber. This is where the distillation takes place and the contaminated residue is left on the bottom of the Boiling Chamber;
  3. Detach the Post Carbon Filter Cup and remove the Carbon Filter Bag;
  4. Refit the now 'empty' Post Carbon Filter Cup back into your water distiller Top;
  5. Fill the Boiling Chamber up to the water line mark;
  6. Put the top back on the Base and connect the power cord;
  7. Place the Collector Jug under the water outlet;
  8. Connect the Base power cord to the power supply and turn on. You will hear the fan start;
  9. The distiller will turn itself off when all the water has been distilled into the Collector Jug;
  10. Discard the water collected from the first cycle;
  11. Refill the Boiler and start the second cycle;
  12. Once the second distillation cycle has completed, you have now successfully sterilised your water distiller. [Note: please keep the water in the collector jug for activating the Post carbon Filter as per the following instructions...]

Distillation effectively removes contaminants such as bacteria, dissolved solids, heavy metals, chemicals (fluoride / chlorine / sewerage etc), pesticides, insecticides, crytosporidium, giardia etc.General Instructions #2: For Every Day Use:

  1. Once you have completed the sterilisation cycle as above, you are now ready to create pure drinking water, as follows:
  2. As above, remove the lift-off Top, which provides easy access into the seamless, stainless steel container. This is where the distillation takes place and the contaminated residue is left on the bottom of the Boiling Chamber;
  3. Detach the Post Carbon Filter Cup and refit the Carbon Filter Bag back inside;
  4. Slowly pour some water from the second sterilisation cycle (as per #1 above) into the Post Filter Cup and let it percolate its way through the Carbon Filter Bag and drip out of the outlet hole. This will clear any loose dust away and activates the carbon for the distillation cycle. Slowly pour roughly 200 to 300mls through the Filter Cup;
  5. (Note: in future, whenever you take the water distiller Top off, place it on the counter the right way up, i.e. do NOT turn it upside down, or else it can dislodge the charcoal in the Post Charcoal Filter Cup, which can cause water to bypass the Carbon Filter Bag; or cause water to overflow the Filter Cup etc);
  6. Fill the Boiling Chamber up to the water line mark;
  7. Put the top back on the Base and connect the power cord;
  8. Place the Collector Jug under the water outlet;
  9. Connect the Base power cord to the power supply and turn on. You will hear the fan start;
  10. Several hours later your Water Distiller will turn itself off when all the water has been distilled into the Collector Jug;
  11. Allow the water to cool before drinking;
  12. Enjoy!

Pure steam water distillation produces high quality water consistently. It is the way water should be (rain water is distilled water.) Pure steamed distilled water produced by this Countertop Water Distiller is a fraction of the cost of bottled water and virtually pays for itself many times over when compared to bottled water purchases.

Pure Water, Naturally.... Dependably

Important Tips
for the proper operation of your Countertop Water Distiller
1)

STERILIZATION CYCLE:

When you assemble your water distiller for its first use, it is important to REMOVE the Charcoal Filter Bag from the Post Carbon Filter Cup (or use an empty Filter Cup) for the first cycle. This allows steam to clean / sterilize the: Boiling Chamber, underside of the Lid, Condenser Coil, Filter Cup and Collector Jug.

In summary:

  1. Assemble your water distiller and make sure that you have fitted an EMPTY Post Carbon Filter Cup, i.e. with no Carbon Filter Bag or Charcoal inside;
  2. Fill the Boiling Chamber to the full level and run the distiller for its first full cycle;
  3. Discard the water from the Collector Jug and run a second cycle and when complete, keep some water from this cycle, as this water will later be used to activate the charcoal / carbon.

WARNING: the sterilisation cycle is really important to clean everything properly for future use. If the Filter Bag is left in the Filter Cup for the sterilization cycles, the chances are that the carbon may become contaminated and the water may have a slight taste. If this happens, you may have to discard the contaminated Filter Bag and replace it with a new one.

Sterilization Cycle
2)

POST CARBON FILTER CUP:

After you have completed the 'sterilization cycle' as above, please do the following:

  1. Put the Carbon Filter Bag back into the Post Filter Cup and slowly pour a glass or two of distilled water (collected from the second sterilization cycle) through the Post Filter Cup, to clear away any dust particles etc;
  2. Now the Filter Cup can be fitted to your water distiller and you can start making pure distilled drinking water. Enjoy!

Note: replace the Carbon Filter Bag after every 6-12 weeks of use; or when you notice a change in 'taste' in the water, which is actually the best indication when it is time to change the Carbon.

Post Carbon Filter Cup

Question 1: Why is a Post Carbon Filter Cup used with water distillers?

Answer: Rain water is distilled water that has been produced by nature's hydrological cycle. Water distillers simply imitate nature's hydrological cycle, but in a much smaller area. This is why the Post Carbon Filter is used, primarily for the 'polishing stage' of the water distillation process, i.e. it is used as a back up for removing any minute traces of organics and odours that may still be left in the water.

The Post Carbon Filter Cup contains a small amount of charcoal and is inexpensive to replace.

Question 2: When should I change the Charcoal / Carbon?

Answer: Many variables affect when the charcoal should be changed such as:

  • source water quality
  • how many litres a day, week or month you make

The most accurate method for knowing when to change the charcoal, is when you suddenly start to notice that the water is tasting different.

Question 3: What does distilled water 'taste' like?

Distilled water has a different taste to everyone. Remember that rain water is also distilled water.

Distilled water (or ultra pure water), will always enhance whatever medium it is introduced to e.g. tea and coffee taste much richer; cooking is better etc. However, if you pour pure distilled water into a glass that has residue from the dishwasher detergents, the taste of the residue will be amplified. In this instance you would need to rinse the glass out with distilled water before drinking.

Also, many people's taste buds are used to tea, coffee, sugar laden carbonated drinks, chemical sports drinks and chemical laden tap water etc, and find it unusual to drink pure water. Drinking pure water is an acquired taste and is made easier by drinking in a genuinely cleaned glass, and slightly cooled, as most people cannot stomach any form of room temperature / lukewarm water.

Question 4: What about the conductivity of distilled water and autoclaves?

It is recommended to use charcoal in the Post Carbon Filter Cup when the water is intended for better taste and drinking purposes. However, the charcoal can add up to 2ppm to the distilled water. Accordingly, if the distilled water is NOT for drinking purposes, most laboratories omit the charcoal so that they can obtain a 0ppm reading with their distilled water, for use in autoclaves, dentistry etc.

3)

PUTTING THE LID ON PROPERLY:

After the Carbon Filter Bag / Charcoal has been put back into the Post Filter Cup, and water put through it as above, then do the following:

  1. Fit the Post Carbon Filter Cup back into the Top of your water distiller;
  2. Fill the Boiling Chamber with tap water up to the 'Full' line (usually 4 litres);
  3. Carefully place the Top on the Base. It is important to place the Top on gently, and allow the Silicone Seal / Gasket to seal naturally, i.e. DO NOT use force to push the Top onto the Base, or it will prematurely damage the Silicone Seal and possibly the Top;
  4. Connect the electrical cord from the Top into the Base, and turn your water distiller on;
  5. Do not forget to set up your Collector Jug correctly under the spout of the Post Carbon Filter Cup, otherwise you will end up with water all over your counter.
Countertop water distiller top
4)

WATER LEAKAGE:

Do NOT turn the water distiller Top upside down, UNLESS you are refilling the Post Carbon Filter Cup.

After each distillation cycle, when you remove the Distiller Top / Lid, it is important that it is removed and placed on the counter in the same position as it was sitting on the Base, i.e. do NOT turn the distiller Top upside down - like the example picture at right...

..Otherwise it can dislodge the charcoal in the Filter Cup, which can cause:

  1. small particles of charcoal to go into the Collector Jug (depending on the filter type);
  2. the water to spill over the Post Carbon Filter Cup during distillation!
  3. the water to have a slightly burnt or metallic 'taste.'
Do NOT turn the Top upside down after each distillation cycle!
5)

SNIFFING THE BOILING CHAMBER:

WARNING: Just like you do NOT smell the toilet bowl after using the toilet, please do NOT smell the Boiling Chamber after the distillation process has been completed; as the waste / chemicals / pollutants that have been removed from the water and have now been left behind in the bottom of the Boiling Chamber, usually really STINKS!

Water distillation imitates the hydrological cycle in nature and separates the water from the filth.

The picture at right shows a normal glass of city tap water. The distillation process simply releases the invisible filth that is locked within the water molecules, which in turn is then left behind inside the Boiling Chamber, while the pure water is relocated to the Collector Jug. We then took the sediment (removed from council tap water) that was left over from the distillation cycle, and put it back into the glass of pure distilled water (far right picture), so that you could now see what was in the water all along, but not seen by the naked eye. Thousands of people have duplicated this experiment for themselves, and depending upon the water source and chemicals present, when the residue is put back into the water, it can be one of many colours e.g. brown, white, yellow, orange etc.

Again, do NOT be tempted to smell the contents of the Boiling Chamber after the distillation cycle, as all the filth / waste / toxins / poisons that were present in the original source water, have been left behind - in an extremely concentrated form. After inhaling the toxic fumes, your taste buds are tainted and everything you drink and eat for the next few minutes will taste absolutely disgusting!

What is really in your drinking wtaer?
1) The glass of water on the left before distillation;
2) After distillation, the residue left behind in the boiling chamber is then added back to the pure distilled water, to show what was 'locked / hidden' inside the original glass of water
6)

CLEANING THE BOILING CHAMBER:

  • Never use VINEGAR to cleaning the Boiling Chamber of your water distiller. It is highly corrosive and it voids the warranty!

  • Never use STEEL Pot Scourers to cleaning the Boiling Chamber of your water distiller. It will prematurely wear the Boiling Chamber out!
STEEL KLEEN Cleaning Solution - multi-purpose

Heavy Duty Plastic Pot Scourers
Cleaning Option #1 - Steel Kleen Stainless Steel Cleaning Solution:
Use STEEL KLEEN Stainless Steel Cleaning Solution instead, which is designed for this purpose. Steel Kleen is a natural product and totally biodegradable. By soaking Steel Kleen and hot water overnight, it will naturally dissolve any hard scale that is forming.

Cleaning Option #2 - Plastic Pot Scourer:
The Boiling Chamber does not need to be absolutely spotless, as it will be dirty again after each use. The main thing is to make sure that no 'scale' builds up in the Boiling Chamber, as this will cause premature wear, inefficiency and will shorten the life span of the machine.

For general slime and dirt residue left after distilling your water, you can simply use a Plastic Pot Scourer to scrub the dirt loose and wipe the stainless steel relatively clean, then rinse and wipe with a clean clothe to finish.

If scale starts to form, as above, use se STEEL KLEEN Stainless Steel Cleaning Solution.

7)

CLEANING THE CONDENSOR COIL & FAN:

Do NOT allow the Fan or Condenser Coil to gather dust, as it causes the distiller to: become overheated, inefficient, shortens the life of the machine and voids the warranty.

Here are a couple of pictures sent in by a customer who claimed he has always maintained his Water Distiller, but wonders why it is overheating and turning off prematurely. As the photos indicate, the machine has not been reasonably maintained whatsoever and he has in fact voided his warranty due to misuse! Note the heavy build up of dust on the fan blades and especially the disgusting build up of dust and filth on the condenser coil!

Cleaning of the fan and condenser coil is very easy. When dust starts to accumulate on the fan and condenser coil, use compressed air to gently blow the dust away from the machine.

Possible sources of compressed air are as follows:

  1. Some vacuum cleaners have a reverse mode which can be used as a blower,
  2. 12 volt car tyre pump,
  3. A compressor from your garage,
  4. Borrow an air gun from a local workshop / mechanic,
  5. Some supermarkets sell cans of compressed air.
Never let your cooling fan look like this!

Underneath all this dust and filth is a stainless steel condenser coil begging to be cleaned!

Divine Countertop Testimonials - Reviews

Solution continued...

2010, August. Ms Elizabeth & Erin Singh, Ravenshoe, Queensland, Australia.
"Dear Juicers Australia,

It's only been 2 days since we've started using the Divine Ultra Countertop and so far my mum and I have been impressed. Even our cat Bella went back for seconds yesterday when she tried the water for the first time.... we stood back to watch her and she kept on drinking, drinking and drinking!

We had a cup of herbal tea last night. It was so smoothe on our palate. Last night we cooked with the distilled water and noticed a big difference in the flavour in our vegetables. This morning we ate boiled eggs using distilled water (for cooking and cooling them down). I was amazed by how clean the egg whites tasted. Prior to using the distiller, the egg whites tasted heavy and just wouldn't sit well in my stomach.

I can't get over what residue had been left behind each time we distilled the water from the tap. Even the smell of it was disgusting!

I wished we had of known about this a long time ago. Thanks JUICERS AUSTRALIA and for providing us a great book [The Choice Is Clear] on distilled water to read by Dr. Allen E Banik. All the best."

The above photos show the scale / mineral / chemical residue removed from the base of the boiling chamber of one of our automatic Water Distillers, after just 6 weeks water distillation for a family of three. (All of our pure water distillers will produce the same results.)

This particular residue is from one of the purest sources of council supplied, non fluoridated drinking water in the South Island of New Zealand. Different locales produce various amounts, types and colours of scale residue, depending upon what minerals / pollutants are in the water, e.g. sewerage & industrial waste; as well as what poisons and chemicals e.g. fluoride, chlorine etc, that your local government adds to your the supply.

Because of water distillation, the owner's kidneys, arteries etc are now free of such scale / mineral / chemical residue.

Illegal Mass Medication   Illegal Mass Medication - top

Water suppliers find it "uneconomical" to supply the public with pure water, as up to 98% of the water supply will be used by the population to: flush toilets - mop floors - wash vehicles & clothes - industry etc. Although some councils and water suppliers claim that their water is suitable and safe for human consumption, they emphatically refuse to accept liability by supplying an Affidavit or Statutory Declaration to that effect, for fear of perjuring / implicating themselves!

Mass medicating the public by adding extremely poisonous toxic industrial waste to the water supply such as Fluoride (a corrosive Class 8 Dangerous Goods / HazChem 2 poison), is unethical, illegal and a serious crime against humanity.

Throughout 2000 to 2007, many builders in Kingaroy, Queensland found that the town drinking water was even unsuitable for making cement! During this period the Kingaroy Shire Council claimed that the town water was suitable for human consumption, while local farmer's calves would quickly die after drinking the town water supply! Go figure...

It is certainly wise (and cheaper) to make your own fluoride and chlorine free pure water at home.

How Does Water Distillation Work? - top

A water distiller heats tap water to 100 degrees centigrade, causing the water to change to steam, leaving behind harmful: volatile organic compounds (VOCs) - inorganic minerals - chemicals - diseases - viruses and contaminants.

Providing Ultra Pure Water in Australia

Click here to see the harmful contaminants that are removed from your drinking water via Water Distillation.

The steam vapour is condensed into pure distilled water leaving the remaining sediment in the bottom of the stainless steel chamber. The purified water then passes through an ingeniously positioned carbon filter, which further purifies the water. No other purification system can match the quality of distilled water with post carbon filtration. Most distillers produce ultra pure water with 99.9%+ purity.

Hydrologic Cycle - top

How water distillers purify water:
Water Distillers are performing not only as one of the most effective forms of treatment, but they're one of the easiest to understand:

  1. untreated water is converted into water vapour
  2. which is then condensed back into liquid form

Most of the contaminants are left behind in the boiling chamber, with the condensed water being virtually contaminant-free. Anyone who has accidentally let a pot of water boil completely out on the stove is familiar with this process, and familiar with the crust of contaminants typically left behind after the water is gone.

In nature, this basic process is responsible for the hydrologic cycle. The sun causes water to evaporate from surface sources such as lakes, oceans, and streams. The water vapour eventually comes in contact with cooler air, where it re-condenses to form dew or rain. This process can be imitated artificially (e.g. water distillation), and more rapidly than in nature, using alternative sources of heating and cooling.

What About the Minerals that are Removed via Distillation? - top

MineralsAs water distillation removes most minerals / elements from the water, it becomes just like pure rain water (rain water is distilled water.)

Some people are concerned that if they drink distilled water (or pure rain water), they will suffer from a mineral deficiency. Naturally, if a person drank nothing but distilled water only and ate no food for the rest of his / her life, he / she would, in due course, develop obvious signs of mineral deficiency!

Conversely, if a person was drinking only municipal tap water, containing: chlorine, fluoride, alum, lime, copper, sewage etc, he / she would quickly develop obvious signs of chemical toxicity and subsequently feel very sick.

However, the reality is that people who regularly drink pure distilled water and eat a healthy diet, are predominantly showing the following results:

  • stronger teeth with less cavities - or or none at all
  • stronger bones with a higher bone density
  • greatly reduced sickness
  • healthier skin
  • thicker hair
  • etc

Please take note that the greatest amount of our nutritional / elemental requirements actually comes from the air that we breathe. To illustrate this point, imagine if a person stopped breathing for say 10 minutes. How long would that person survive without access to the nutrients / elements in the air? [i.e. Nitrogen, Oxygen, Argon, Carbon dioxide, Neon, Helium, Methane, Water vapour...]

The next greatest source of nutrients is from the minerals found within the physical food that humans consume. Unlike air, humans can actually survive for several weeks without eating physical food. Please note that for every 1 litre of physical food that humans consume, humans require approximately 10,000 litres of air. Sports people and extremely hard working people can consume up to 30,000 litres of air for every 1 litre of food eaten, during their rigorous regime.

Humans are mostly composed of water, i.e. approximately 75-85%. Every metabolic function that takes place within the human body is in a water medium. Water is essential for hydrating the body and especially the cells; and if pure enough, water is excellent for effectively keeping the cells clean by removing toxins and cell debris.

In summary, the greatest percentage of nutrients / minerals are obtained in the following order of priority:

  1. the air that we breath [approximately 10,000 to 30,000 litres per 1 litre of physical food]
  2. physical food that we eat such as a well balanced diet of vegetables, fruit, grains, nuts, meats (chicken, beef, goat...)
  3. vitamin and mineral supplements etc
Some people who eat a healthy balanced diet also like to include vitamin and mineral supplements, as well as consume regular amounts of pure water for hydrating the body and cleaning the cells. Minerals can also be added into your pure distilled drinking water at your own discretion e.g. the Amazing Alkaline Water Flask.

Volatile / Gaseous Vent - top

All good water distillers have a 'Volatile / Gaseous Vent' incorporated into the beginning of the stainless steel condensing coil, to prevent Volatile Gases contaminating the pure distilled water, by releasing any Volatile Gasses (if present in source water) into the atmosphere.

Please note, if there are Volatile Gasses present in the source / tap water, then these Volatile Gasses are also being released into the air every time a consumer:

  1. runs a hot water tap,
  2. boils water for cooking, tea and coffee,
  3. showers in hot water,
  4. and is consumed every time the consumer drinks the water.

If the source / tap water is heavily contaminated with council poisons and subsequent Volatile Gasses, it maybe advisable to vent any room that has hot water from boiling / cooking / showering etc, as well as the distillation area.

Top View of Divine 48L Water Distiller
Volatile / Gaseous Vent

Over the years we have had several Chronic Fatigue people explain to us that they have hyper-allergenic conditions and are not comfortable having a machine releasing 'volatile gases' in their house, and have asked what they can do to negate breathing volatile gases. As all traditional sources of heated water such as running hot water / boiling water in a kettle / cooking water / showering in hot water / distilling water all release volatile gases into the atmosphere, here are a few suggestions for Chronic Fatigue people with extreme hyper-allergenic conditions:

  1. Easiest solution: vent any area that has water being boiled;
  2. Easy solution: fit a carbon / charcoal filter to your water supply. [Note: the Divine Automatic Water Distiller comes with a pre-carbon filter]
  3. Radical solution: wear a suitable gas mask when in any area that has water being boiled;
  4. Extreme solution: remove all forms of boiling water from your dwelling;
  5. Ultra extreme solution: set up a hyper-allergenic free tent in a chemical free paddock (no phones, no computers, no vehicles), bath in a non polluted stream and eat chemical free - non hybrid - non genetically modified raw food.

Easy Maintenance - top

Boiling Chamber:
Distillation units require only minimal maintenance, which usually involves draining off the concentrated sediment and other contaminants that accumulate at the bottom of the boiling chamber. It is NOT necessary to keep the bottom (inside) of water distillers absolutely spotless (especially with semi-automatic type water distillers that have an internal element in the base), as there will ALWAYS be sediment film on the bottom after each and every use. The main requirement is that a scale does not form, otherwise if left unchecked it will become a heavy scale and will soon impede the efficiency of the distillation cycle.

The most important thing is to clean away the bulk poisonous / chemical residue, which if allowed to build up, makes distillation more inefficient.

The photo at right shows the chemical residue inside the boiler of a stainless steel countertop water distiller, after just one distillation cycle!

Chemical residue in a stainless steel boiling chamber of a countertop water distiller

The walls of the boiling chamber may also need to be cleaned of hard-water scale and other sediment that can accumulate. The required amount of cleaning depends greatly upon the initial quality of water used. Very hard water can produce heavy scaling in a relatively short period of time. If soft water is used, cleaning difficulties should be minimal. (For your convenience we supply a wonderful product called Steel Kleen for this very purpose. Steel Kleen can be ordered via the Divine Water Distiller page.)

[WARNING: Never use vinegar to cleaning the Boiling Chamber of your water distiller. It is highly corrosive and voids the warranty! Use Steel Kleen instead, which is designed for this purpose.]

Post Carbon Filters:
The carbon / charcoal filters must be changed periodically as well, usually every 6-12 weeks; although some people replace the charcoal at longer intervals such as 6 months or even every year. The best time to change is when you notice a 'taste' in the pure water. These are very inexpensive to replace. (Charcoal can be ordered via the Divine Water Distiller page.)

Fan and Condenser Coil:
Also, do not allow the Fan or Condenser Coil to gather dust, as it causes the distiller to become overheated, inefficient, shortens the life of the machine and VOIDS THE WARRANTY.

Never let your cooling fan look like this!
Never let your cooling fan look like this!

Underneath all this dust and filth is a stainless steel condenser coil begging to be cleaned!

What is the difference between Automatic & Semi Automatic Water Distillers? - top

Automatic Water DistillersAutomatic Water Distillers:

  • Distiller connects directly to the water mains, e.g. laundry tap, kitchen plumbing or garden hose etc;
  • Once the unit is turned on, the Boiling Chamber fills to the maximum level automatically and the machine begins distilling automatically;
  • As the water level drops, the distiller automatically replenishes the Boiling Chamber;
  • Once the reservoir (where the distilled water is collected) is full, the water distiller turns off automatically;
  • When the reservoir is about half empty, the distiller automatically turns on and will keep distilling until the reservoir is fully replenished again.

Summary: Although fully automatic water distillers are more expensive up front, they are excellent time savers when more than 8 litres of water per day is required - as the water distiller conveniently does it all for you.

Semi Automatic Water DistillersSemi Automatic (Countertop) Water Distillers:

  • The operator must fill the Boiling Chamber to the maximum water level mark manually;
  • The operator must turn the water distiller on manually;
  • The distiller will turn off automatically when all of the water in the Boiling Chamber has been distilled.

Summary: Semi automatic water distillers are inexpensive up front and excellent for making smaller amounts of water e.g. 4 - 24. litres per day. The only real downside is that you have to fill it up manually for the next cycle / batch of water.

The Mango Man - Dr. Wayne PickeringDistilled Water (by 'The Mango Man' - Dr. Wayne Pickering)
Let's dispel the myth about the proper kind of water to drink. My first comment is that we can't get clean water out of a dirty pipe. And when I interviewed all those Olympic athletes a few years back about what they do to maintain their health & energy on a busy travel, one of the 3 things they all had in common was and I say this verbatim, "Wayne, we never drink the crap from the tap!" That statement has changed a lot of people's thinking about better water to drink!

In his book, "The Choice is Clear", by Dr. Allen E. Banik, he describes Distilled Water as "the only water that is pure – the only water free from all impurities."

Distilled Water acts as a solvent in the body. It dissolves food substances so they can be assimilated and taken into every cell. It dissolves inorganic mineral substance, acid crystals and all other waste products so that these can be eliminated in the process of purifying the body.

As Distilled Water enters the body, it picks up mineral deposits accumulated in the joints, artery walls or wherever such deposits occur, and begin to carry then out. Gallstones & Kidney Stones decrease until they can safely pass through their ducts. Arthritic pains lessen, as joints become more supple & movable!

Distilled Water has the inherent characteristics of a magnet which picks discarded minerals and with the assistance of the blood and the lymph, transports then to the kidneys for elimination. It is this kind of mineral elimination that is erroneously referred to as leaching. The expression that Distilled Water leaches minerals form the body is inaccurate, It does not leach out body minerals. It collects and removes inorganic mineral which have been rejected by the cells and tissues and which if not evacuated can cause serious damage.

Odorless, colorless and tasteless, Distilled Water contains no solid mater of any kind, no minerals, organic or inorganic and is made solely of the two gases, hydrogen and oxygen. It can be used as a drinking water, for cooking, for electric irons, and batteries, and is so pure that it is used for intravenous feeding, inhalation therapy, prescriptions and baby formulas. Enjoy a guaranteed clean glass of distilled water the next time you need something to drink and relax. We are all on the Road to Death; there's just no need to jump in the Passing Lane! You're special and deserve the best, consume good stuff so you'll always be tough!...

This is Wayne Pickering encouraging you ... "To have enough fortitude
To develop an attitude
Of sincere gratitude
For your body's magnitude
Then you'll have an aptitude
To reach a higher latitude
For an ultimate altitude!"

  FLUORIDE WARNING

"Fluorides are general protoplasmic poisons, probably because of their capacity to modify the metabolism of cells by changing the permeability of the cell membrane and by inhibiting certain enzyme systems. The exact mechanism of such actions is obscure." Journal of the AMA (American Medical Association), Sept. 18, 1943, Editorial.

Ballina Council Rejects Fluoride - top

Thursday, March 25, 2004. 8:27am, Australia
www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2004/03/25/1073229.htm

After almost 40 years of providing fluoride to the shire's residents northern NSW's Ballina council is recommending that it scrap the service.

Since 1965 the council has offered fluoride in one form or another. But new legislation now classifies fluoride as a poison.

Ballina's manager of water and sewerage, Phil Warner, says it is time stop the practice because the council is no longer authorised to hand out fluoride.

"The council has been providing fluoride to the community over the counter for many years now, but in tablet form and also in drop form," Mr Warner said.

"Basically fluoride is now considered a poisonous substance."
